Why did God love the world so much that He gave us His only Son to suffer and die?
It was because of God’s great love for us, but it was also because we needed rescuing from sin. The Bible tells us that Adam disobeyed God, (Romans ch 5 v 12) tells us wherefore as by one man sin came into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men. The Bible states here, that because Adam sinned, all people are born with the nature to sin. Sin leads to spiritual death.
If we do not turn away from all known sin, and put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, confess our sin, and receive Him as our Lord and Saviour we will end up eternally condemned to the lake of fire. (See Revelation ch 20 v 15.) God’s love for us is beyond human understanding.
By sending His Son Jesus to die for our sin, God prepared the way for us to be rescued from this lake of fire. Jesus paid the full price for our sin, and He is waiting for us to receive Jesus as our Saviour. (John ch 1 v 12) But as many as received Him, He gave the power to become the sons of God. Even to them that believe on His name.
(Romans ch 10 v 13) Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Will you call on the Lord Jesus right now? The decision is yours, don’t delay, tomorrow could bee too late.
Simply come to God, admit you are a sinner and thank Him that Jesus died for you. Put all your trust in Jesus, turn from all known sin, confess your sin and receive Jesus into your life, as your Lord and Saviour.
